About Us

This entire crazy journey started with a Facebook post (look it up - there’s proof) that Laura shared to Dan on 04/21/2017. That post had some cute goat kids in pajamas running around a barn. On that post that she shared to Dan, Laura added “ Oh my goodness Dan! I want some”. That changed everything very quickly and things started to fall into place to make it a reality.

In 2019 we started D&L Ranch with 4 Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats (1 buck, 1 wether, and 2 pregnant does ). The first kids (3) were born on our ranch in June of 2019. Since then, we have continued to research and learn everything that we can to better care for, raise, and breed quality registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats.
We went to our first livestock show in 2023 with Hand Hampshires. Arianna and Bailey got to help show sheep in the MO State Fair, and that’s when the girls said: “Papa & Nana, can we show our goats next year”. We started showing our herd in 2024 and have continued to improve our genetics and breed towards a show quality standard.
Our herds health is our #1 priority.
Fast forward to 2025: We have a herd of 60 registered goats. Once our girls start kidding, that will multiply very quickly. Laura makes goat soaps. We have made butter from our girls milk and the milk is delicious and very creamy.
We are an ADGA Plus Performance herd. We participate in milk test for production (DHIR), Linear Appraisal, and we show in ADGA sanctioned shows
